Thanksgiving Scripture Place Cards

Here is another idea for keeping your Thanksgiving celebration centered on Christ!  These are Scripture place cards that you can put on the table next to each person’s plate, to give them a scripture about thankfulness to read and think about during the dinner, to help turn their hearts focus on praising and thanking God!

These are very simple to make.  My kids helped me put the little fall stickers on them and glue the scriptures on the cards, and they really enjoyed that!  They are made with fall-colored card stock, the verse is of corse printed off the computer, then add a couple fall stickers, and viola!

  • Hi Katie!
I love the place cards. What a fantastic idea. You must be so inspired! BTW – my birthday is on Thanksgiving, ours are pretty close together.
I posted a couple of pics on my website of the tutu, I’ll hopefully take better ones this weekend, but it’s a start. She loves the tutu!

  • I love this idea and will have to modify it for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas breakfast as Thanksgiving is at my in-laws and the whole family kind of bristles at any thing new being introduced. :(

  • What a great idea! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

  • Hi Katie I dont have a website. Iwanted to let you know I love your thanksgiving placecard idea with scripture. I recently lost my daughter to cancer and she was always the one that had thanksgiving dinner for the family. I am having a difficult time, missing her especially with the holidays coming up. So, I arranged for 29 of the family to have a fantastic buffet dinner at a turkey restaurant. I think it will be great to have a scripture place card at each family members place. I thought the crafty younger generation would have fun making them too. Perfect idea, thank you and God richly bless you and your family! MJ

    • Oh Mary Jane, I am SO sorry to hear that! What a very heartbreaking time for you and your family. I will pray for you as you near these difficult holiday times without your sweet daughter.

I am so glad you like the place card idea! I hope it is a blessing to you and your family!

      God Bless you,
      Katie

PS, I am reading a wonderful book right now by Sharon Betters called Treasures in Darkness…it is written about her loosing her son at 16. It is wonderfully honest and encouraging. Here is the website with a better description:

It is a blessing to me (even though my losses are different – stillbirth), and I believe it would be a blessing to you as well! Praying for you!
