10 Ways to Love Your Husband

……without spending a dime! It really is the “little” things that matter most.  My husband and I have been married now for going on 11 years.  I can honestly say our relationship is deeper and we are more “in love” now, than we were when we met!  God is the One who has worked in us and in our relationship to keep it going strong throughout the years.  He has shown us the importance of keeping Him first in our {Read More}

Wordless Wednesday ~ Celebrating 9 years of Marriage!

9 Years Ago Today… And Today… By God’s grace, even MORE in love than our wedding day! Ephesians 5:22-23: “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.  For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.  Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church {Read More}

Vacation Update

   Well, we are all enjoying our vacation!  I have had some internet access, but no time to post anything!  I thought I would post a few pictures from our anniversary celebration at the coast.     Jared’s family took care of the kids while we went to the beach for almost 3 days to celebrate our anniversary.  They took the kids to NASA and also to see WALL-E  while we were away, and it sounds like the kids had a great {Read More}

The Excellent Wife – Right/Wrong Desires

   One book I am currently reading is The Excellent Wife, by Martha Peace.  I had started this book a couple years ago, but only got a few chapters into it, and never finished it.  So probably a couple months ago I picked it back up again and started all over.  I love to read great books to encourage me and convict me in my walk with the Lord.  However, I usually read them slowly, as I have time.  If {Read More}

Fun in the Sun!

This past weekend (Thurs evening thru Sun evening), we went to Houston to visit Jared’s mom, and sister, and also to celebrate our 7-year wedding anniversary. After having something like 25 straight days of rain in Texas, we weren’t sure how the weather was going to be for our planned beach time. However, the Lord held the rain back, and we had a great time! Friday we wanted to take the kids to the beach. We were planning on taking {Read More}

Could Reading From the Bible Become a Crime?

 I received this email from AFA today.  I have attached the email below.  It is very disturbing.  Please read it, take action, and spread the word!!! If pastors and other Christians don’t aggressively oppose a bill now in Congress, in the near future they will be subject to huge fines and prison terms if they say anything negative about homosexuality. The proposed law would make it a crime to preach on Romans Chapter 1 or I Corinthians Chapter 6.  Or even {Read More}

A Very Special Mother’s Day

    Wow!  My husband and children really spoiled me on Mother’s Day.  They were so sweet to me, and it was such an unexpected blessing!     My husband had waited until the last minute to prepare for Mother’s Day (Sat. night) and I was so amazed with what he thought up at the last minute! 😉     After letting me sleep in until 9AM, my fully dressed children bursted in the room saying. “Happy Mother’s Day Mommy!!!” In an instant {Read More}
