Happy Valentine’s Day

    Happy Valentine’s Day to all of my friends/readers!  I am thankful for you all, and pray you have a Valentine’s Day filled with Christ’s Love!     We are having fun here in our home today, doing many cute little Valentine’s activities.  But more than anything, I hope the love of Christ is what shines through today, because none of us can truly love anyone without His love penetrating our hearts.    Without His perfect love, I can not love my husband, my children, my family, or {Read More}

No Love Without Grief

“Tell us, fool, who knows more of love–the one who has joys from it or the one who has trials and griefs? He answered: There cannot be any knowledge of love without both of them.(Ramon Lull, The Book of the Lover and the Beloved) When I imagine that I want to learn to love God–and to love my husband and others whom God has given me to love–let me test the desire of my willingness to accept trial and grief. {Read More}

Monday Meanderings – Nov. 12, 2007

    Hi everyone!  It is the beginning of another week!  It has been a couple of weeks since I have participated in Monday Meanderings and Menu Plan Monday.  I am actually going to continue on my Menu Plan Monday break.  Right now our budget is VERY tight, so I am scrounging up what I can and trying to be REALLY creative for our meals, so I can avoid spending money at the grocery store as much as possible.  Thankfully, since {Read More}

Monday Meanderings & MPM – October 22, 2007

We woke up this morning to some WONDERFUL fall weather!!!  It was in the low 50’s this morning…and this afternoon, still mid 50’s!!  Amazing!  Just yesterday it was 90!!  It is supposed to be nice and cool (cold) all week!  It finally feels like fall.  We are having the kids joint birthday party this weekend, at a park, so hopefully it won’t be this cold on Saturday!  We have a busy week, here is what is on our schedule & {Read More}

“God is all Faithfulness”

Yes, that is the quote of the day from my little Zoe!  I heard her over in the reading corner in my bedroom saying that.  I thought it was too cute, so I grabbed the video camera, and this is what I captured!  She is certainly one passionate little cutie pie!!     We have been talking a lot about God’s faithfulness lately.  It seems that we have had so many trials these past several months, but God’s faithfulness is so {Read More}

“Does God Exist?” Nightline Debate

   A couple nights ago my husband and I stumbled across this Nightline Debate on the internet, and apparently it had aired on ABC Nightline on May 7, 2007.  We started watching it and were hooked for the entire 2-hour debate.     Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron debate the existance of God with Athiests Nick Sapient and Kelly.  Ray and Kirk did an EXCELLENT job of debating God’s existance.  However, as I watched the debate, what I found most exciting was watching Ray {Read More}

Waiting on the Lord

This seems to be a major theme in mine and my husbands lives lately….as I know it commonly is in the lives of Believers.  It seems as though around every corner, there is waiting.   About a year and a half ago, my husband and I felt the Lord’s calling on our lives to go into oversees missions for a 2-3 year stay, and from there, go wherever the Lord takes us in ministry.  My husband first felt that he needed {Read More}

A Sweet Moment

    A few mornings ago, shortly after I had finished my quiet time, my daughter (2 1/2) came up to me and said, “I have my Bible study now, K?”  I said, “oh of course, you go ahead and have your Bible study.”  While in my mind I am thinking, “oh how cute, but she isn’t actually going to doing anything!”   Well, the next thing I know, she races off to her bedroom, grabs her little pink Bible off of {Read More}

Two-Year-Old Trials!

       Here is my two-year-old daughter captured on camera in one of her “moments.”  These “moments”  are becoming much too frequent lately!!!    Today has been full of disobedience and temper-tantrums.  She doesn’t seem to care much about obeying at this stage in her life! 😉  I was all set for grocery shopping today.  I had her and her brother in the cart, and we were off to buy groceries.  Only, she decided she didn’t want to be in {Read More}
