Giving Thanks

I tend to get so busy this time of year.  Sometimes it is hard to remember to pause the busyness, and be intentional in our daily lives.

This morning, I totally last minute threw together our thankful tree.

It’s not too late…you can too!

I love this yearly tradition we do in our family that causes us to take time to recognize all we have to be thankful to God for each and every day of the year.

I want my children to remember and recognize the daily grace of God in their lives, in all things.

“You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.  You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”  Deut 6:7-9

“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!” Psalm 118:1

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”  1 Thess. 5:18

I pray you all have a blessed Thanksgiving!  No matter what you do to celebrate this Thursday, may the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord, in all things, be at the forefront of your mind.
