Felicity’s One Year Old “Sunshine & Rainbows” Birthday Party

sunshine birthday collage

4 Months ago, we had Felicity’s One Year Birthday Party.  Since we have called her our “little sunshine” from birth, and she is our sweet little “rainbow baby,”  I decided to go with a “Sunshine & Rainbows” themed birthday party.

Here are some photos from her special day…

The Food Table.  Rainbow table cloth from Target. All of the Sunshine signs, posters, banners, etc I purchased from this Etsy shop.

I made rainbow cupcakes for the guests, and a sun-shiny smash cake for Felicity

Rainbow Fruit-Kabobs were a delicious hit!

Rainbow & Sunshine candy

Water bottle labels were also from my etsy purchase.

I also used these prints as decor for the party. They are normally in Felicity’s bedroom.  I purchased them from this etsy shop.

These are the 1-year  photos I took of Felicity.  I created this photo collage poster at Costco.

On our front door

A piece of canvas art I made for Felicity (and with Felicity).  I got this idea from something I saw on etsy.

What she wore…a custom embroidered rainbow baby onesie from this etsy shop, along with mama’s handmade sunshine tutu.
Daddy had her make a grand entrance to her gift opening time by riding her new trike from Daddy and Mommy.

She really hammed it up during gift opening time!

You can sort of see in this pic that I had a homemade slide show going on the tv during the party.  It was full of pictures from Felicity’s first year.  I had several “sunshine” songs playing with the slide show, like “You Are My Sunshine” “Sunshine on my Shoulders” “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” “Walking on Sunshine” “Good Day Sunshine” ,and probably more that I can’t think of at the moment 😉

I purchased the flower garland at Hobby Lobby (along with the yellow pom poms above that are not pictured).  The banner I purchased from this Etsy shop.

sunshine19Cake time!

Still SO hard to believe how fast that first year of her life went…and how fast it is still going!  She will be 16 months tomorrow, and I can hardly believe it.  We love and enjoy her so much.  We are so so so thankful the Lord has blessed us with this precious girl – our little Sunshine Rainbow Baby!

One more piece of Sunshine party info that I do not have a picture of…
I sent out these invitations

  1. Too too too cute and so much fun!!

  2. BEAUTIFUL! Love the rainbow party idea, and she’s such a sweet little girl. Happy birthday Felicity!
