But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2Cor. 12:9
The title of my blog is based on this verse. This is a verse the Lord has brought me to time and time again in my life. I have a tendancy to think I can do things on my own, and in my own strength, but graciously the Lord doesn’t leave me to continue in my prideful notions! He is continually showing me how weak I truly am, how I can do nothing apart from Him, and how I must be completely dependant upon Him for everything. I can not be the wife, mother, and servant of Christ that He wants me to be apart from His strength. It would be easy to become discouraged and begin to wallow in this weakness, but when I come back to this verse I am reminded that I should boast in my weakness, because it is in that weakness that Christ’s power is made perfect. SO praise God that I am so weak and I must be in utter dependance upon HIM, and praise God that His grace is sufficient for me!
So, here at Boasting In My Weakness, what will you be reading? The daily life, interests, tips, & encouragement, from a Chirst-following, Gospel-centered, husband-loving, child-raising, homeschooling mama. I’m also pretty fond of knitting, crafting, sewing, & photography. I pray woven through all of these areas of my life, there is a bold proclamation that Christ is my all in all – and apart from a life redeemed by Him & and centered on Him, it is all meaningless!
