About

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2Cor. 12:9

The title of my blog is based on this verse.  This is a verse the Lord has brought me to time and time again in my life.  I have a tendancy to think I can do things on my own, and in my own strength, but graciously the Lord doesn’t leave me to continue in my prideful notions! He is continually showing me how weak I truly am, how I can do nothing apart from Him, and how I must be completely dependant upon Him for everything.  I can not be the wife, mother, and servant of Christ that He wants me to be apart from His strength.   It would be easy to become discouraged and begin to wallow in this weakness, but when I come back to this verse I am reminded that I should boast in my weakness, because it is in that weakness that Christ’s power is made perfect.  SO praise God that I am so weak and I must be in utter dependance upon HIM, and praise God that His grace is sufficient for me!

  • Hi Katie, just wanted to say sorry. I just realized that I had accidentally used Kara’s name when speaking about your great paper sort. I’m so sorry. I can’t tell you how many times I proof read that post and it got away from me. I have fixed it now. I really am very very impressed with all you accomplished.
    Thanks again for participating.

  • Oh, that is ok, I have typo’s all of the time, many that I know I never even catch!! I knew what you meant. Thanks again for your kindness and encouragement!!

  • I love the name of your blog and applaud your willingness to stand in your weakness leaning on the knowledge that God is enough. Thank you for being a living example of our imperfection in the grace of a perfect God. It’s all about trust!

  • Hello. My name is Seth. My soulmate Audrey passed away from breast cancer last year, she was 34 years old. In her memory, I’ve analyzed a panoply of “alternative” cancer treatments, to determine their effectiveness. You can visit my “Beat Cancer” project here: http://ideablob.com/ideas/2684-Beat-Cancer

If you can find it in your heart to vote for my idea, I would sincerely appreciate it. Whoever gets the most votes by July 31 will win a $10,000 grant to advance their project, so I’m reaching out to people in the hope they can help me spread the word. Thank you.

    Sincerely,
    Seth Aronson

  • We are Coffee Cup Friends and we’re contacting some popular blog sites (such as yours) to introduce ourselves. Ours is a ministry for women, by women. Our website can be found at http://www.coffeecupfriends.com. From the very beginning, it has been our desire to share the love of Jesus with women in every stage of life and walk alongside them as they grow in their relationship with Him. Through our “Spiritual Growth” and “Embracing Life” pages, not to mention getting the latest recipe from “Our Kitchen”, it is our hope to equip, encourage, and pray for the women who grace our CCF “online home”. After you visit our website, we hope you will want to tell your friends about us, too. This way, you will be helping us spread the Good News to women around the world. We feel blessed that we are already reaching women in many other countries even now. And, we are especially thrilled how God has grown us in such a relatively short time. In no way do we seek glory for ourselves. God alone is worthy of the honor and praise. This is His ministry, not ours.

Anyway, thank you for reading this introductory letter and we hope you will take a few minutes to visit our site. We would also love to hear from you sometime. If you have a prayer request, please send it to us so our CCF Prayer Team can pray for you. We can also include you on our online Before His Throne page so many others can pray for you, too.

May God richly bless you as your website has been a blessing to us.
Merry Christmas! Cinda, Janet and the entire CCF Team
